    Independent Necklace

HOW TO UPGRADE YOUR INDEPENDENT NECKLACE
(as a free to play player)
The Independent Necklace as of 10.4 is the most viable accessories in-game.
This is a short description of how to get it and how to upgrade it.

In order to proceed through this guide you will need:

READ FULL GUIDE BEFOFORE GATHERING MATERIALS!

    1. Snowflakes: The only way of obtaining snowflakes currently is farming either Arcadia or Arcadia prison. Which would require you to have Arcadia Protection (150x Seed of Dreams per hour). You can get Seed of Dreams by either AFK farming Mitera, Dravice and Arcadia or you can do the Ellonhom party dungeon. There is no other way of obtaining Snowflakes aside of Battle Supporting in these 3 maps so if your holy water has expired, you will need to farm Ellonhom dungeon to get more Seed of Dreams for Holy water as well. Holy Water will bring you back 1900 Seed of Dreams for 1 Day, 5400 Seed of Dreams for 3 Days and 12500 Seed of Dreams for 7 Days. What you can do is create jump event alts with holy water and feed them Arcadia protection with your main character, which you have farmed Ellonhom with. Anyway, enjoy battle supporting and not being able to buy snowflakes from other players for dil or exchanging them for materials. I was able to get about 20 snowflakes per hour of grinding during a 2x Drop event. Don't worry. Snowflakes are tradeable and there are a lot of people farming Arcadia already!
    2. Compound Mavrics (Needed for both Frozen and Chaotic necklaces): The compound mavric is crafted through the crafting system. In order to use the Crafting System you first have to get your mastery from Dora (NPC, Ardeca). Once you've got your mastery click Ctrl + R, navigate to the Common tab and type "Compound" in the search bar at the top of the Crafting System window, the available option should be the Compound Mavrics you're looking for. A single Compound Mavric requires 99x Pass Mavric, 99x Nium Mavric and 99x Tatum Mavric. Currently, the fastest way of obtaining these is through the Treasure Hunter Rune. Luckily both mavrics and compound mavrics are tradeable therefore if you don't feel like spending Seed of Dreams on a Treasure Hunter Rune you can trade in other materials or buy some for DIL.
    3. Adamentium (Needed for Chaotic Necklace only): Adamentium is farmable in Shangri-La
    4. Heavenly Energy (Needed for Frozen  Necklace only): Heavenly Energy is farmable in Shangri-La
    5. Mitera Ghosts (Needed for Chaotic  Necklace only): You can farm Mitera ghosts by AFK farming in Mitera or by doing Forgotten Temple, where the last boss in the dungeon drops a box containing 150x Mitera Ghost Fragments that can be upgraded to 75x Mitera Ghosts. Basically, the ratio when upgrading Mitera Ghost Fragments to Mitera Ghosts is 2:1.
    6. Mitera Insanity (Needed for Frozen  Necklace only): You can farm Mitera insanity by AFK farming in Mitera or by doing Forgotten Temple, where the last boss in the dungeon drops a box containing 30x Mitera Insanity Fragments that can be upgraded to 10x Mitera Insanity. Basically, the ratio when upgrading Mitera Insanity Fragments to Mitera Insanity is 3:1.

    Obtaining the Independent Necklace:

Currently this is one of the best accessories we've got in our disposal. You can further upgrade it at Aria. Success rate to 2nd upgrade is 20% and 100% to 3rd upgrade. Requirements for the upgrades are not too high, so it's totally worth going for this one.

    1. Buy the Independent Necklace from Incarnation of Helion.
The necklace only costs 50 Seed of Dreams
    2. Go to Aria -> Accessories.
    3. Chose either the Chaotic Necklace or the Frozen Necklace.
      1. Chaotic Necklace
        1. First Chaotic Necklace upgrade requires 5 Adamentium, 100 Mitera Ghosts and a Compound Mavric. Success rate is 20%.
        2. The second Chaotic Necklace upgrade requires 100 Mitera Angers. Success rate is 100%
      2. Frozen Necklace
        1. First Frozen Necklace upgrade requires 5 Heavenly Energy, 50 Snowflakes and a Compound Mavric. Success rate is 20%.
        2. The second Frozen necklace upgrade requires 150 Mitera Insanity. Success is 100%

    Which necklace to choose?

It's all about personal preference. In General damage wise you'd benefit more from the Frozen Necklace. Defence wise you will benefit more from the Chaotic Necklace. You can not wear both at the same time in the same equipment page, however you can have one in your first equipment page and the other on your second equipment page which would allow you to switch between attack and defence sets. Both necklaces are tradeable so once you get them you can just transfer them to any other character that you have.
