    if anyone else is having this issue after a fresh install or windows, i needed to download two files and install them in to the computer they are from microsoft website X86 https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe Permalink for latest supported x86 version X64 https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe make sure to install both. heres a link to the site https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170 thanks nitex for answering this for me it was a head scratcher.

    Hello, I installed the new launcher, and after it downloaded it started to install then nothing happened back to my windows screen.. i waited about 5 mins nothing changed so i did it again and it did the same thing. old launcher wont work and neither will the new one .. i am running windows 11 pro . i am doing a fresh download right not to see if that helps..
