DIL Economy Improvements

• General Improvements
  • We have banned over a hundred characters that we identified we're harming the economy by selling, mass farming, or utilizing prohibited methods (such as bots). 
  • Several hundred billions have been removed from the economy as a result of this. Prices should start to drop slowly.
• Updates
  • We have added one DIL sink (the new supply machine) and will continue to add more as needed. As DIL is removed from the economy, prices will normalize.
• Advanced Statistics
  • We've improved our statistics around DIL and will now be tracking the total DIL supply each day to ensure that it decreases. We may also release a historic graph
  • We've also created advanced logging to be able to identify and stop malicious activity faster than before.

[BETA TEST]

This is Rising's official first A35-Guild War system. Since it's the first time (and things go wrong), we are calling it a beta tournament. If it works out well we will start doing this more regularly.

Important Dates / Times

• Application Period: Ends Thursday May 11th at 11:00AM Server Time
  • Brackets will be randomized and released on Friday (next day)
• Tournament Matches: Saturday May 13th 2023
  • First Round: 15:00 UTC Server Time

How to Apply

• Application Requirements
  • Level 9 or Above
  • Each person can only enter one character. Multiple HWIDs will lead to a disqualification.
  • Each character must be above level 210 to apply.
• Selection
  • If there are too many guilds, guilds will be prioritized in this order:
    1. Guild Level
    2. Total guild points
• Only the guild leader can manage the applicants.
  • 

Match and Round Progression

1. All buffs are reset upon entrance. Cooldowns are also reset upon entrance.
2. Each match is 3 rounds. The maximum time of each round is 10 minutes.
   • After each round there is a 5 minute break.
   • Possible points (for each round):
     • Win: 2 Points, Draw: 1 Point, Loss: 0 Points
     • If the score is 3:3 at the end of all rounds,a  rematch will be held. The time of rematch depends on the time of the previous battle.
     • Draw/Rematch:
       • In the case of a draw/rematch, the guild with the FIRST KILL wins.

Rules

• Late Entrance / Noshow
  • If you are late to the first round, you will enter as a "spectator" until the next round.
  • If a guild does not show up the match will be automatically forfeited
• Disconnection
  • Any disconnections are treated as a death. Whoever enters can participate again in the next round.
• Ressurection Skills
  • Segnale "Recover" and "Revive" skills --> CAN be used.
  • Segnale/Seguriper "Ressurection", "Recover Routine" and "Bead of Life" ressurections can NOT be used.

1v1 Tournament (same style as Weekly Tournament)

This is a tournament that is the same style as the previous weekly 3v3 Tournament but 1v1. It will be hosted by Rising @Eccle. Since we do not have [GM] characters on Rising A35 to ensure fairness, please make sure to keep an eye out and follow directions that will be given via the megaphone ingame.

Zenoa Territory War

Miss the old Siege map? Well, you're going to love this.

Main Improvements to Season 2:

• Draco Battle scores will be excluded from SR rankings
• Joining DKSquare after the match has started will NOT negatively affect your score. If you do well, your score will improve.
• One match will no longer have an extremely large effect on SR like with season 1
• SR scores are now calculated on a per-match basis (rather than every score)
• The farther away you are from your true SR, the more points you will get (to reach it faster). This means someone that starts in the middle of the season can catch up.

General Information:

• All scores have been reset and everyone starts at 10,000. The first few matches you play will give you higher SR to get your closer to where you should be.
• The algorithm has been completely rewritten -- you shouldn't compare a S2 score to S1.

Penalties & Abuse

• There will be a 0 tolerance policy for abuse.
• Anyone found attempting to cheat the SR system will be
  1. Immediately disqualified for two seasons or permanently based on severity.
  2. HWID & IP Banned from any competitive game mode (DKS, Draco, Zuto, upcoming Colosseum, etc.)
     1. In certain cases, the entire account will be banned.
• Guilds will be penalized when one of their members is disqualified for abuse.
  • If a guild receives too many penalties, the entire guild may be disqualified from the rankings for two seasons.

• We are currently investigating an issue with the Trie Muse meister quest.

Important Information about Balance 

• We would like to ask for everyone's patience because in the next few weeks we will start working toward getting up to speed with KR balance in terms of both items and skills. This patch is the first step, but there are more to come. Until we are fully up to date with KR, balance might not be the best it can be.
• Why not release all of the updates (for items/balance) to get Rising up to date with KR balance in ONE update rather than multiple updates?
  • Two Reasons:
    1. Bug Risk Minimization
       • Some of the changes, although they may seem simple (like swapping Helion -> Rondow set for players), are actually quite complicated. We do a lot of testing and research to prevent bugs. Some of the balance changes must be done in the database, which we must be especially careful with.
    2. Data-Mining
       • We are proud to be the only server that is truly data-driven. The SR system is a great example of this. Implementing these changes in pieces and mining/saving the data/logs provides us with valuable data that we could use in the future to create more unique features or improve existing features.

  • Added Attack Speed Debuff
    • DEV Comments: This event was intended to stimulate PvP/PK in Mitera, which happened until people realized they could auto attack with boxing gloves to avoid flagging. To remedy this, we have added this debuff to slow down attack speed.
  • Aggro Changed --> Last Hit
    • Previous: The character that attacked the boss first got assigned the aggro and took the drops.
    • Now: The character that deals the last hit on the boss will be assigned the aggro (and get the drops). Drops will be shared with party.

Dekaron is all about competitiveness and challenges. The Rising is no exception. In the short time since A31 was released we've been honored to play alongside some of the most prestigious guilds in the history of Dekaron.

What Dekaron has always been missing is a skill rating system -- similar to that of popular match-based games such as League of Legends, Fortnite, Overwatch, etc. Season 1 of SR rankings was a huge success, but a lot of improvements were needed.

We're excited to be starting Season 2 of SR Rankings very soon. 

Main Improvements to Season 2:

• Draco Battle scores will be excluded from SR rankings
• Joining DKSquare after the match has started will NOT negatively affect your score
• One match will no longer have an extremely large effect on SR like with season 1
• SR scores are now calculated on a per-match basis (rather than every score)

We're extremely happy to see how many people are enjoying the new class update and are happy to welcome the hundreds of new players that have joined.

We apologize for restarting the server just two days after the major update -- but there are some important bug fixes that we need to implement. Thank you for your continued patience and support.

Overall, it was amazing to see how much action and fun everyone had while participating. That said, we will be making some adjustments to the SR algorithm for Season 2 (which will be announced after we're done making improvements).

Some of our findings:

• SR wasn't weighted correctly based on the time participated in DK Square. This demotivated players from joining matches that were already in progress, out of fear of not getting a high SR score. We will improve this in the future.
• SR adjustments after each match -- in some cases, the adjustments after each DKS match were a bit too drastic. In the future we will add a cap to how much SR can be affected by each match.
• A few other things.

We will continue to make improvements so that everyone can enjoy this new system to the fullest. Now, we will post the results of Season 1!

• Season 1 Winner Requirements Update:

Balance

There are two major components to this balance patch. Both components are 100% official and do not contain any custom changes. Another way to look at it is that we have updated our skill files to the latest and greatest version. The purpose of this patch is to update our files to the latest balance before we make any adjustments (if necessary). However, as of this update all balance is 100% original and we plan on doing our best to maintain official KR balance.

IMPORTANT: Buff/debuff descriptions may not all be updated, but their effect in the stat window is accurate. It will just take us some time to handle the text.

1. Original Overall Balance Patch
   • This is an official balance patch. We will continue working with official original version balance patches (not adjusted global balance where everything is adjusted for P2W items we don't have, like other servers have done).
   • This is a balance patch that affects 76 different skills. In other words, 76 skills/passives were not the latest version.
   • General Changes
     • Certain classes that were weaker due to the game shifting toward PvP Res and other macro changes have been buffed.
     • Aloken party-buffs, which dominated competitive aspects and too-strongly influenced team/party performance have been weakened (but self-buffs remain strong)
     • Animations
       • Many animation times have been decreased, which makes combat faster and more engaging while also making matches more skill based than spam based
       • Many animations now feel more natural, with some skills properly following targets (such as Dopios)
     • Bug fixes
       • Some buffs were not being applied correctly for various classes
2. Meister Balance Patch
   • This patch primarily focuses on the Meister skills and GM skills.
   • For this we have spent a lot of time to create detailed notes.

For the first time in the history of Dekaron we've revealing a competitive skill-rating system for both individuals and guilds.

Season 1 Schedule

• February 4th - February 20th
• February Rankings will no longer be calculated after February 20th at 11:59PM server time, but you may continue to enjoy DK Square / Draco Battle.

IMPORTANT: Guild Rankings

• All characters MUST be guild members within 24 hours after Siege.
  • After 24 hours, each guild's members will be locked into the ranking system.
• Guild rankings will begin 24 hours after season starts.
• In future seasons, guild member lock may be changed and will be announced if so.

DK Square / Draco Battle Skill Rating (SR) System

The skill rating system is a complex algorithm that takes into consideration many factors and provides a "skill rating" for each player that participates in DK Square / Draco Battle. Skill rating is adjusted after every match depending on performance.

**Penalties & Abuse**

• There will be a 0 tolerance policy for abuse.
• Anyone found attempting to cheat the SR system will be
  1. Immediately disqualified for two seasons or permanently based on severity.
  2. HWID & IP Banned from any competitive game mode (DKS, Draco, Zuto, upcoming Colosseum, etc.)
     1. In certain cases, the entire account will be banned.
• Guilds will be penalized when one of their members is disqualified for abuse.
  • If a guild receives too many penalties, the entire guild may be disqualified from the rankings for two seasons.
• THIS IS THE ONLY WARNING WE WILL PROVIDE

How is SR Calculated?

• There are many things that are taken into consideration for SR calculation. We cannot reveal every factor or the entire algorithm to prevent abuse attempts, but we will describe most of it.
• Placement Matches *Important*
  • Skill Rating is only calculated after the character has participated in at least 7 DK Square matches. Win/lose does not matter as, just the participation.
• Factors Considered:
  • 
    • Kills (points determined by the rank + level of the killer vs killed)
    • Match win/lose
    • Match duration
    • Objective Activities (stone destroys/communication)
    • # of members in the match
    • Final score variation (example: Miseria beating Richez by 9000 points will be weighted less than Misera beating
    • Richez by only 1000 points)
    • Penalties
      • Disconnections will result in a SR penalty.
      • Killing the same character over and over will start negatively affecting score
• Factors Specific to Guild Skill Rating
  • The Guild Skill Rating is a bit more complex in that it uses two algorithms. The first one is the same as the character performance algorithm above. The second algorithm is the "Overall Guild Performance" algorithm.
    • Overall Guild Performance Algorithm
      • We can't go into detail -- but this algorithm makes macro-level considerations in contrast to the character specific algorithm.
      • Examples:
        • How the guild is performing overall in DK Square
        • How much a specific guild is contributing in DKS matches they participate in (normalized)
        • Guilds that don't attack their own members despite being on opposing teams are negatively impacted by this scoring.

Skill Rating Qualification Requirements

• In order for the algorithm to be able to qualify for  a skill rating, a character must:
  • Complete at least 7 "placement matches" ( this means
  • Be at least level 210
• Guild-Specific Qualifications
  • For guilds, the requirements are the same with one additional requirement:
    • Guild must have at least 15 qualified members.
  • Guild members must be in the guild on the first day of the season in order to be considered. Otherwise, their scores will not count toward the guild score!

Skill Rating (SR) Disclaimer

• The first season is a trial of the ranking system. We reserve the right to tweak the algorithm if we deem it necessary. Although we have tested it for a few weeks -- we tested it without people participating in DKS/DB knowing that their rankings were being calculated.

  • Technical Details
    • The way the system works in technical terms is using a machiene learning model that analyzes factors listed above.
    • The factors are then ran through an "adjustment" algorithm that assigns weights to the different factors.
  • Future Improvements/Changes
    • We may adjust the weights of different factors as we see needed. Any changes to the algorithm will be applied universally and not targeted toward any specific individuals. This is the first time something like this is created for Dekaron, so adjustments may be needed.

New Player Experience + Rising JUMP Event Updated

•   Lv 210 JUMP Achievement Package
  • The level 210 achievement package that includes several accessories to help get started with game PvP related aspects. This is because many newcomers are very eager to participate in DK Square, Draco Battle, and Zuto Battle but may still need time to obtain gear.
  • New Characters and Existing Characters
    • New characters will automatically be rewarded with a Lv 210 JUMP package when they reach level 210.
    • Existing characters can get the Lv 210 JUMP package from Rising Helion NPC for 100 Seed of Dreams.
  • Items Included:
    • Starter Zuto Weapon Box +8
    • Starter White Candy Earring
    • Starter Devil's Horn
    • Starter Fallen Sailors Ring
    • Starter Pure Moon Star Earrings
    • Note: These items are NOT upgradable and can not be used in the crafting system. Starter versions are not as powerful as normal versions but help with survivability.
  • Starter Zuto Weapons:
    • Starter Zuto Weapons are +8 versions of Zuto Weapons with hardcoded options. The starter versions have the new increased minimum stats in the range (so every normal Zuto weapon will have better rank options). These weapons give players who have not had an opportunity to obtain Zuto Weapons a chance to participate in competitive game modes.

• Normal + Rare Pets Updated
  • ALL Normal + Rare pets will give 4% PvP DMG Res. Previously only Unique pets gave stats. 4% is still less than Unique pets, but this allows even new players to benefit from pets.

Dragonic Perpetus Updates

• Dragon Horn
  • Added 15% drop rate to Binaelle Fairy for Dragon Horn (in addition to Inner Ugliness). This should guarantee a dragon horn drop in around 5-10 runs.
• Infinite Essence / Eternal Essence Exchange Improvement
  • This is primarily a quality of life improvement since previously you couldn't mix and match binded/unbinded Z Coins. This fixes that issue as both binded/unbinded can be combined and exchanged for Essence Piece.

Colosseum God of War Bracelet

This bracelet is extremely important for PvP/PvE. However, it was previously only obtainable with a very low chance that was nearly impossible. We've revamped it so that you can get it with a 100% chance instead of a blind-hoped random chance.

The White Candy Earring is also an extremely important earring for the sake of balancing PvP and PvE related content. Because it's essential to be competitive, we have created a slightly nerfed version of it (White Candy Earring (Starter Version).

• White Candy better than Red Monkey?
  • In some cases no, in some cases yes. It depends on the build, set, and character. Some people may even have both and swap them during different competitive scenarios.
